Sirius rubbed the back of his head, ruffling his scraggly black hair so that it stuck out at odd angles. He threw back the covers of his bed, looking at the clock next to his bed. It was nearly noon. He had been up pretty late that night, but for no particular reason other than his brain wouldn't rest. He had many nights where he would think incessantly. What finally got him to sleep was getting into the bed with Kacie. Her entire aura seemed to calm him down and she eagerly snuggled with him so it was a victorious situation all around. Noticing that she was no longer beside him, Sirius sighed, missing her warmth.
Standing up and stretching, he threw on his long sleeved black shirt which was tight enough to reveal his muscles. He did enjoy the looks from all the women around. It was extremely flattering, although he loved being ogled at by Kacie the most. She was the only one who could make his heart beat wildly in his chest, capturing his nerves in one single glance. Blinking rapidly, he slipped on some house shoes and then made his way to the Great Hall, ignoring anyone that tried to speak to him. He was starving. He didn't have time for conversations. Besides, he knew he would be in a better mood once he ate something.
Arriving at the Hall, he made his way towards the Gryffindor table, shoveling food from all directions onto his plate before sitting himself down. There were a few people already in there, but he didn't see any of his friends. He figured that they would be in there soon. Because it was still Christmas holiday, there wouldn't be many people in there anyway. Hopefully, since his talk with Lily, he could find a way to make it up to James. He just hoped he didn't make an ass out of himself again.
He stuffed his face with a roll before taking a deep gulp of pumpkin juice.

Up early as usual, Remus had crawled out of bed before any of his other friends and gotten dressed. Today was just as plain as usual, a pair of slacks and a shirt that was quickly covered by a sweater. Even though the castle was fairly warm during winter, he wanted to be as comfortable as possible. Once he got his shoes on, Remus slipped out as quietly as possible as to not wake his fellow Marauders. No doubt most of them would sleep till the afternoon and would be rather upset if he woke them at 7am.
Making his way down the stairs, the blond wasn’t surprised when he got into the dorm and found it completely empty and silent. Not a soul was awake yet it seemed. With a small yawn, he walked over to the table in front of the couch and picked up a stack of books. They were some that he had read over the past day or two, and with the last one finally finished as of the night before, Remus was ready to return them and get a whole new set. Pulling them up to his chest, the Marauder turned and headed towards the portrait. Onward through the halls, and still not a single soul to be seen aside from one professor. Pushing open the doors to the library, Remus finally found that he wasn’t the only one awake. The librarian was there, along with a couple students. Walking over, he set the stack of books down on the librarian’s desk and then wandered off to go poke around the many bookshelves that he knew far better than most of the students at the school.
Hours later and Remus finally forced his nose out from a book he had been engulfed in after a rather painful cry from his stomach. With a sigh, he tucked a small piece of parchment into the book to keep his place and then closed it. Pushing himself to his feet, he dusted himself off and then tucked the book under his arm and made his way towards the great hall. Remus was unsure of the time now, but it was clear that it was lunchtime. There were plenty of students bustling around now, despite the reduced numbers since most of them had returned home for break. Naturally, he had thought about going back as well but decided to stay. It was the safest place, and his friends were here as well.
A smile tugged onto his lips as he spotted one of said friends, sitting at the Gryffindor table and stuffing his face. Like he almost always was. Setting his book down on the table, Remus sat down next to him and sighed. ”You’re going to choke if you keep shoving those rolls down your throat, Padfoot.” It was useless to say it, but it just couldn’t be helped. Perhaps one day the silly boy would finally listen, or learn his lesson. That wasn’t to say that he was wishing for the young man to choke though. That would be terrible, naturally. Remus opened back up his book to the marked page and began reading once more. [/blockquote]

The 7th year James Potter groaned as the sunlight came in through the window and hit his face. He threw the pillow over his head so that he could try to get some more sleep. He soon found out that this attempt was futile. He sighed to himself and threw the covers off, swinging his feet over the edge of the bed. He stretched and yawned before getting up and rummaging around in his trunk. He finally found his clothes and his robes and quickly put them on. He then ran his hand through his hair, making it more unrurly than it already was and then grabbed his wand and then decided that he was ready.
Before leaving, he glanced around and noticed that no one was here. He assumed Sirius had spent the night somewhere with Kacie, but he couldn't be absolutely sure, and Remus usually got up before everyone else anyway. He didn't bother looking to see if Peter was there. He liked the kid and everything, but they hadn't seen to much of it lately. James didn't really care either way. Before heading out, he grabbed his bag and made sure everything he needed was in there and then he walked down into the Common Room, and wasn't too surprised to find that no one was there either. He shrugged and then headed through the portrait and decided to go to the Great Hall.
He walked through the hallways, seeing some students, but not very many. He finally went into the Great Hall where he saw many students eating. He looked over at the Gryffindor table and saw both Padfoot and Moony sitting there. He walked over in time to hear Remus saying something to Sirius about shoving food down his throat. He couldn't help but laugh and say, "Yah Padfoot, he's right.." He grabbed some food and pumpkin juice, wondering if Sirius was going to freak out on him for talking to him, seeing as how they hadn't been really talking or anything since the whole thing with Lily.

The thing he didn’t want to do was the very thing he was forced to do… wake up. It had been a pleasant dream, involving a magical potion that had made all of his wild dreams come to fruitation. With a mighty yawn he sat up and stretched. Cracking noises can from his bones with a rather disturbing sound. Maybe the soreness he felt had something to do with handing on for dear life at the windowsill of one of the towers windows.
With a grunt he stood up and surveyed his surroundings, noting that he was all alone. His friends had vanished to parts unknown, but he knew it wouldn’t take long to find them, not this early in the morning. But is it still morning? He wondered noting that the son seemed to high for it to be considered morning any longer.
With a lazy hand he grabbed some clothes and changed. His joints moving in protest and he grumbled in protest at their protest. “Stupid bloody Ravenclaws.” He said running a comb through his hair quickly which he then dropped onto the floor unceremoniously where he stood. He then walked out of the room and out through the common room, noticing its lack of student bodies. He then processed out into the corridors and to the Great Hall where he was sure to find some food to state the rumbling in his stomach. He was feeling Rather in a bad temper, thanks to the night before and it was an experience he never wanted to repeat.
Low and behold his friends were all present which Peter found to be neither a surprise nor anything to write home about. They were almost always together, except Remus who spent an abnormally large amount of time in the library and James who spent ungodly amounts of time at Quidditch practice.
Walking over to the Gryffindor table Peter had a seat and started loading up a plate. Relishing the smell of food and he quickly started to eat a nice strip of greasy bacon.

Sirius looked over as his blond friend sat down on the bench next to him. Smiling over at him, some food fell out of his mouth from it hanging open. He guffawed, pieces of his roll flying towards Remus. Swallowing, he wiped at his mouth and grinned again. He was in a good mood today for some reason. Possibly because he had had Kacie's warmth next to him the night before, snuggled up against his body. Finally registering what Remus had told him, Sirius threw him a look and grabbed another handful of food before cramming it into his mouth. Then, laughing, he pressed his hands around his throat and made a terrible gurgling noise, faking a look of terror in his silver optics. Then, he swallowed and hit Remus on the shoulder. "Yes, mum, I'll keep that in mind." Watching the blond turn his attention back to his book, Sirius became suddenly agitated. Because of this whole ordeal with James, he had been having to deal with Remus always with a book, but Sirius liked to have everyone's full attention. Clearing his throat, he placed his hand on top of the page Remus was reading from and stared at him pointedly.
The offspring of the Noble and most Ancient House of Black could smell the stag a million miles away. His body stiffened and he waited for the bloke to come closer, as if he dared him to gain proximity. He was still a little unsure of what he thought of his best mate and Lily being together, but after speaking with her at the Three Broomsticks, he felt slightly better about it. But, not completely. He just wanted James to give him the attention he deserved, because he was a spoiled brat. What the hell was he supposed to do about it? He had been raised like that, so what was he supposed to do but continue the behavior? Clouding his disdainful expression with a noticeable attempt at trying to remain civil, Sirius removed his hand from Remus's book and turned to James, watching him with his gray eyes. Not missing a beat, he smirked and muttered, "Because you have room to talk, Prongs." He pointed at James eating and guffawed once more, feeling as if he could get through this whole relationship he had with Lily.
Smelling another one of his friends enter into the Great Hall, Sirius turned his head slightly, gazing at Peter as he ventured to their usual spot at the Gryffindor Table. The bloke looked to be exhausted and maybe a little pained. Sirius was concerned, but he was able to keep the smirk on his face. Chuckling as Peter sat down, he said, "Rough up any girls last night, Wormtail? I hear they can be quite a work out." His smirk grew wider, his glistening white teeth shining in the light of the room. There was something about Peter that always shot off warning signals in Sirius' brain, but he figured that it meant nothing. So far, the git had been trustworthy, so there wasn't anything to worry about. The only question was, where had he been these past few days?
