Narcissa's heart fluttered violently as his hand fell upon hers, softly, as if he wanted to hear her music. Her eyes shot in his direction, their terror nearly tangible. She continued with the Moonlight Sonate, the sweet notes of the song calming her nerves. She could hear it at full volume in her mind as if there were a radio at her ears. She wished she could play her piano right now. She missed it quite horridly. As she found herself finally relaxing with his hand upon her own, she suddenly felt something on her leg. Jumping away violently, she splashed over into the water, accidentally dunking herself into it. Sputtering when she resurfaced, she giggled madly, her icy blues alight with humor. She supposed that her brain hadn't quite registered what the feeling had been. After all, she'd never allowed a boy to touch her, even if they were betrothed.
Swimming a little closer to him, she gazed at him with her cold blues before grinning widely. He must think of her as a spastic little girl. Biting her bottom lip, she began to play with her hair, twirling a damp blonde strand in her long and elegant index finger. With a rather squeaky voice, she murmured, "Sorry . . . I thought it was a . . ." Actually, she didn't have any idea what she thought his touch had been. She had liked it, however, despite the fact of her jumping away from him in fear. She wasn't used to this. She didn't want to be hurt.
Watching him blink many times at her question, Narcissa waited for a reply. She assumed he would answer in the way that she had so many times before. That he didn't want her, that he had someone better in mind, or that he simply wanted to date all the girls he could without being attached to her indefinitely. She moved to sit next to him once more, her nerves calmed for the moment. She was so damn jumpy! What was he doing to her? His words hit her like a burst of warm air. She blinked rapidly and then barely registered it when his lips made contact with the tender porcelain skin upon her shoulder. She watched him before blushing madly, her lips parted as she tried to think of something to say. Finally, she murmured softly, "But, we know next to nothing about each other. How could you be perfectly fine with marrying someone you do not know?" She stared at him seriously, wondering if this was the right place for this conversation.

Lucius jumped and yelled a little in shock as Naricissa jumped violently away. He raised his hands out of the water and wiped the bubbles off his face, disgraced. He had known that would happen eventually... or something of the sort. He hadn't meant anything by it, and hadn't done it on purpose either. The shock had been in his heart too, but he had resisted the impulse to move. Perhaps that was why he had always been so attracted to Narcissa... she had always seemed to be able to easily master her own emotions and keep a calm, level head in any situation. Finding her in this situation rather disturbed him, and he was determined to give her the space she needed otherwise.
He waded a few steps away from her upon her return, and his expression returned to that of his usual scowl. He wasn't angry with her, only more surprised by her actions than he could form into words. She was currently acting the part of a volatile potion... perhaps she needed more brewing before she set in perfectly.
Her question, if asked seconds earlier, would have been easy to answer. He would have said something like; Because, when you watch that person grow up for five years and realize they are much like yourself, even more apt to success, and cruel enough to capture your heart; spending the rest of your life with them doesn't quite seem so bleak. He was a little unsure, now, however, and didn't answer the question immediately. Instead of voicing his thoughts, he merely said "I don't know... perhaps I should be more cautious."
He didn't want to hurt or offend her gorgeous icy blue eyes... but his touch had seemed to do just that more than words could, so he was merely attempting to give her the respect a girl as wonderful as she deserved.
He burned to swim back and rub her shoulders, touch her cheek.... something... but he didn't think she would allow it.

Hearing his surprised scream, Narcissa sighed. He really must think her odd now. He was probably rethinking his approval of this marriage by now. Biting the inside of her cheek as she watched him wipe off his face, she flashed him a briefly embarrassed smile. Why was she acting like such a smitten school girl? Was she really smitten with the young man in front of her or was she simply going insane from the rapid beating of her heart? Crinkling her nose and wiggling it slightly, she moved to a spot in front of him, a little ways apart from touching him and composed her expression. Despite his longing of her, or so she assumed, she was going to remain calm. This was no place for such silliness. Really, did she have to act like a fool in front of him now? Taking a deep breath, she leaned on the wall behind her, lying her head upon the stone of the bathroom's floor. Her icy blues stared up at the foggy ceiling, thoughts of her family swimming back into her mind. She had tried not to think of Andromeda and Bellatrix, but they were her sisters, after all. Sadly, her Andy was drifting farther and farther away. Every time Narcissa tried to pull her back, there would be yet another excuse for her distance. Sighing, she whispered in a voice full of monotony, "What is it like to be an only child, Lucius?"
Finally, she looked back at him, her icy blues watching as the scowl twisted his handsome features with cruelty. Unable to stop herself, she floated closer to him, reaching out a hand to touch his face. Upon impact, she traced his skin with her fingertips before whispering, "Do you know that you are much more handsome when you keep your features soft? It is not becoming of you to appear so cruel all of the time. It is actually quite frightening." Her finger moved down to his lips, but her eyes remained glued to his unabashedly.
When she noticed him pause at her question, fear set in her heart and made her insides tremble. She doubted he would say anything kind, and his words hit her like a shard of glass, cutting through her like a double-edged sword. Her icy blues flashed indignantly and then the anger faded into gloominess. She should have expected as much. The more time he would spend around her, the more he would realize that she was as bizarre and unbalanced as ever. Would he compare her to Bellatrix, perhaps, in her weakest moments? Did he not realize that he himself was doing this to her, making her feel all jumbled up inside? Obviously not, but she wasn't going to tell him that. He could figure it out on his own.

Lucius started at her reaction. He had meant more of an agreeing with her insistence of the immorality of arranged marriage than of particular rudeness, but he could not not reverse the effects. He chanced sliding a bit in her direction, to see if she tensed up or threatened to somersault backwards or something if he did. Sensing she wasn't, he forgave her completely.
Lucius started at her. Nobody had ever asked him that before, nor had he considered it. What other way was there to live? "I... I don't know what you mean..." he responded. He imagined having siblings that acted like him... and the feeling made him uneasy. They would be competition for parental attention... they would be alternate heirs to his wealth... they would threaten the very way he had become so accustomed to living. "I suppose it's fortunate, for me. You are always the center of your parents' focus when they are there, they can afford to get you anything you require..." he thought briefly about Arthur Weasley with a disgusted feeling. "I supposed I don't know how else it would be." he said, simply. "What's it like to have siblings?" he countered, wondering if she had ever considered being an only child before.
All of Lucius' doubts leaked out of his mind instantaneously as he felt her gentle touch across his face. He now understood, she was surprised. Just as he was. He felt the impulse to jump, or run, or go underwater... but h stayed where he was. Nothing could force him to part with it. He raised his hand out of the water and held her hand onto his face, before softly kissing it repeatedly.
He suddenly realized something. He couldn't really touch anything besides her hand or face without it freaking both of them out. Suddenly he wished she had clothes on... it would make things so much easier. He himself was at least wearing boxers, so it covered anything he wouldn't want her to see or touch...
Exasperated, he released his grip and backed away playfully before splashing her in the face and dunking himself underwater, eyes shut tight.
[[OOC: The thick foam of bubbles on top makes underwater dark. Plus, everything would be all blurry because it's underwater anyway lol. She doesn't have to go underwater, Lucius is just dodging a retaliation splash.]]

Narcissa regretted reacting to him in such a way. He probably didn't mean it the way she had taken it, but he didn't say anything to throw away her other conclusion so she didn't have anything else to go on. Smiling when he moved closer to her warily, she caught his silver eyes within her own. She hadn't meant to freak out on him like that. He must realize that she didn't talk to many boys. He should know that she wasn't much of a conversationalist unless it came down to asking people random questions about themselves that they probably wouldn't want to share with others. Narcissa was extremely good at making people feel uncomfortable around her. She supposed it was one of her greatest skills.
Narcissa's sisters were nothing like her. They each were all different; one of night, one of day, and one smack dab in the middle of the afternoon. It was a blessing that they had all gotten along. She stared at him as he claimed to be confused by her question. Like that was a surprise. Most people were dumbfounded at her random and out of the blue inquiries. She nodded at his response, jealous of him. She had known what it was like to be an only child in the years Andromeda and Bellatrix had been at school when she wasn't old enough, but not to the extent of the boy in front of her. "I suppose you have never wanted a sibling? They are not always as wonderful as they may seem." Although she loved Bella to death, the young woman was simply insane. Andy was too distant for Narcissa's liking at the moment, but there wasn't anything she could do. She felt like she was an only child, but she didn't know how she could handle the pain of not being around her sisters. She sighed, flashing him a small unusual smile before murmuring, "But, I would not have it any other way." She knew that she needed her sisters' input on nearly everything in her life. She could only talk about Lucius to Andy, because Bella didn't understand the ways of the heart. Neither did Narcissa, really. Andy had been telling her about a boy she was in love with but had refused to say who it was. Sadly, Narcissa had heard the rumors, but she didn't want to believe them.
She watched as the realization crossed his face and Narcissa flashed him another radiant smile, her icy blues glittering with delight. Her eyes widened ever so slightly as his hand moved out of the water. She fought the urge to swim away from him and allowed him to take her own hand in his. She couldn't help but giggle softly as his lips made contact with her skin, but a blush rose upon her cheeks and stained them pink. When he suddenly dropped her hand, she raised an eyebrow in surprise, watching as he leaned his head back. Reading the playful expression on his face, she smirked back, her lips glinting with mischief. Water crashed down around her head, the warmth nearly knocking the wind out of her. When she opened her eyes, she noticed that Lucius was nowhere to be found. Sighing, she ducked into the water behind a mountain of bubbles and waited for him to resurface. She had no fear of him seeing her body for she knew that the water was dark enough underneath. It was nighttime outside, anyway, which reflected through the windows. The room was lit by glowing candles now, so there was no threat of him seeing anything she didn't want him to lay eyes upon.

Lucius stayed under the water for almost as long as he could hold his breath. His eyes remained closed for his submersions entirety, as to avoid getting any of the soapy water in his eyes. He was half worried that Narcissa would get up and leave while he was down there... somehow he doubted she wanted him even vaguely... and if she did, it could not possibly mirror the extent of his desire for her. He therefore stayed submerged, considering her question. Had he ever wanted a sibling? Absolutely not, was his gut instinct, but a vague tugging in the back of his mind suddenly came into his conscious forefront. He pushed it back away, unwilling to consider it at that moment.
Lucius generally prided himself in his historical namesake, Lucius Junius Brutus, who overthrew the Roman Monarchy, founding the Roman Republic, which changed the entire nature of the western world from that point forward. He was a wizard, of course, unbeknownst to the Muggle Romans. Wizards had been the ones pulling the strings of the world... muggles were merely worthless NPC's that complicated things annoyingly. He entertained himself for a few moments in consideration of that irrefutable fact.
At long last, he finally resurfaced. As he did so, he found himself staring directly into gorgeous and cold, icy blue eyes. The feeling gave him the chills, even in the steaming water. He felt goosebumps find their way up his spine and down his arms before immediately subsiding again immediately afterwards, allowing his skin to return to its usual smooth nature.
An unfamiliar hollow sensation overcame his lips as he looked upon Narcissa's. He was close to her... much closer than he had realized at first. She was pressed against the wall... she couldn't escape if he tried anything. But that would be incredibly disrespectful to her... would she care? Would he care?
He stayed there, staring deeply into her eyes.... wishing she wouldn't move away as he was almost certain she would.

Narcissa felt her eyebrow rise when she noticed that Lucius stayed underneath of the water for quite a long time. She grew worried for a moment and then wondered why she cared so much. It wasn't as if he could hit his head when he hadn't been close to the wall or anything. She had a mind to go dive in after him, but it wouldn't really help that much considering the fact that she couldn't see underneath of the water without a spell to protect her eyes. She wondered what his reply would be to her question, but most only children didn't want siblings right? What would they need a brother or sister for when their parents gave them all the attention? She supposed it was foolish to ask, but she just wanted to know.
Finally, he resurfaced. She jumped violently, alarmed. Before she had time to do anything, her eyes were captured in the depths of his cruel grey puddles. Her icy blues couldn't look away and she found herself trapped in the silvery pools. Her muscles had stopped working, her brain ceasing in its functioning. She could feel the heat from his body radiating off of him, discerning it from the bath water, drenching her with his desire. Her eyes flashed down to his bare chest for a fragment of a moment and she noticed the goosebumps upon his arms. Fluttering her lashes in anxiety, her icy blues zapped back up to his, her anticipation increasing with each passing second.
Her heart suddenly augmented in its rhythm as his grey orbs moved down to her slightly parted lips. Her breath caught in her throat as she moved her icy blues to his own mouth, reveling at the cute plumpness of them. She could just lean in a fragment of an inch, just to see what it would be like. She felt the wall behind her back and realized that she would have to either kiss him or . . . well, she didn't think of any other options right at the moment. Her eyes zoomed back up to his, her thick black lashes fluttering in a nervous rhythm.
She didn't move.

Lucius knew he had her. He was on the verge of tears, his desire so overpowering. He could feel his willpower slipping away quickly. All other thoughts were driven from his mind. The entire center of his being was centered around her irresistibly alluring eyes, along with her voluptuous, full lips.
His breath caught painfully in his throat. His consciousness had no additional room for such mundane actions as breathing... it was all he could do to keep his own heart beating, although it was beating vigorously.
A though suddenly came over him. She wasn't wearing clothes. Bad. Bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad... perhaps a kiss would be better suited for later. Later, when they were both fully clothed. With another painful inhalation of her tantalizing scent, he finally forced himself to roll off to the side. Unable to help himself, he placed his hand slowly and gently on top of hers.

Narcissa frowned delicately when she noticed that his eyes were watering. Concern flashed across her porcelain face and she reached up a hand to touch his face. With a velvet whisper, she murmured, "Are you quite alright, Lucius?" Her fingertips ran along his pale skin, touching the cool porcelain with trembling fingers. She couldn't think about anything else. In this moment, he was her entire world. She never thought she would see him in this light, but his scent was so overpowering, his silver pools nearly tantalizing to her. How could she have missed these things before? Had she ever really been this close to his body, near enough to feel his breath inches from her own?
She was losing her mind and her heart.
The young female wanted him badly, but was it so inappropriate to desire for him this badly? She was completely bare in the clothing department and she doubted that he would be able to control himself if their lips were to meet. But, as she noticed the defiance in his eyes, she couldn't help but feel her frown deepen. Her hand dropped down below the water once more and her icy blues flew away from his. Maybe he just didn't want her. He probably thought she smelled disgusting or something. Merlin, that was what she was in the bath for!
He moved away.
Sighing softly, Narcissa felt another wave of despair crash down upon her. Maybe he didn't find her as alluring as she did him. She bit the inside of her cheek and then felt her heart flutter violently as something fell upon her hand. When she looked over, she saw his hand upon her own. Frowning in a rather confused manner, she swallowed before moving her eyes back up to his. Slowly, and with an abundance of caution, she moved her hand so that their fingers were intertwined. Nervously, she bit her lip before murmuring, "What is your favorite color?" Narcissa knew that it was a random question, but she was nervous for Merlin's sake! She didn't want to lose herself in his gorgeous eyes again so she had made it a priority to think of something to say. She supposed such a question was rather odd and out of place, but she didn't care.
Oddly, she really wanted to know the answer.

"I'm fine, Cissa." he declared solemnly, making up the nickname on the spot. Had he ever heard others calling her by that name? He couldn't recall a particular instance, but the name seemed vaguely familiar to him. As if he had been waiting his entire life to say it. The pain intensified a hundred fold with every moment they were apart. He felt her fingers within his own, and smiled briefly.
He smirked again, a moment later, at her question. It was rather odd, yet essential to know. If she didn't even know that about him, she had no business being in a tub, alone with him. He owed her that courtesy. His favorite color was green, and he was about to say so as he raised his gaze--to peer directly into her cutting blue eyes. A sense of uncontrollable longing filled him, and he said "Blue." instinctively.
He couldn't hold himself in any longer. If he did, the effects would be similar to the explosion of a super-volcano... all the pent up pressure would cause him to make a single, irrational movement all at once. He squeezed her hand tighter, to reassure himself that it was there. That was quickly not enough for him, however, and he found himself almost panting in anticipation. His desire was dizzying.
"Do you prefer cats, or rats?" he asked absently, trying to distract himself.
It wasn't working.

Blinking rapidly when he spoke, she felt a blush creep up her neck. She assumed that he would call her what Bellatrix and Andromeda always called her: Cissy. But, although it was slightly less creative, she thought it sweet all the same. Nodding in response to his words, she stared at him intensely, as if she didn't believe him for a moment. But, she settled softly next to him, telling herself that he probably wouldn't tell her what was wrong if there was something bothering him. She supposed that they didn't know each other well enough for that. But, she could wait.
At his smile, she couldn't help but grin back. His beam, so infectious, slithered its way into her teeth and curled down her throat, warming her body with joy at even being around this boy when he grinned. Maybe she had been wrong about him all along. When he smirked upon hearing her question, she flashed him a little smile full of awe. She didn't know what he thought of her question, but she supposed it wasn't anything bad. He probably would have made fun of her in some way if it had been something less than appealeing to him. Blushing at the intensity of his gaze, she smiled softly when he replied. She preferred violet, herself, but---A thought suddenly came to her. Blushing a deeper red, she whispered, "Which shade?"
Looking away from him for a moment, she bit her lip, desiring for him more than anything she'd ever wanted in her life. When his grip tightened on her hand, she whipped her head around to look at him. He wasn't turned towards her, so she couldn't see the intensity of his gaze. A little worried, she ran her thumb along the back of his hand, eager for him to know that everything was alright. She moved his hand slowly up towards her lips, pressing her small mouth to the skin of his knuckles, all the while staring attentively into his eyes.
Giggling at his question, she immediately answered, "Cats. I believe that rats are rather disgusting. Do you like snakes?"

Lucius gazed upon Narcissa as she blinked, more fully displaying her eyelashes. Long and full even when wet. He smiled... more than a smirk, a smile. He couldn't believe that he, of all people in the world, was entrusted with the single-most beautiful and gentle girl on the face of the planet. The only woman in the world worth his time. What were the odds of his fair fortune?
Lucius gazed still deeper into her omnipresent eyes. They were inescapable, and constantly drawing him in. What shade of blue? Icy, cold blue. Blue rimmed with a touch of sky blue, with darkened lines of sapphire tracing their way from the gorgeous sapphire center all the way out to the sky-blue rim. It was an indescribable color, with words that time would permit. "I think you know." he said meaningfully.
His skin singed with the touch of her lips upon his hand. Not the steamy, comfortable heat that surrounded them due to the bath, but the white hot, painful heat that demanded only more. He looked helplessly into her eyes, wishing she she would mercy...
Yet hoping she wouldn't.

Narcissa began to feel her breath leaving her as he continued to gaze into her icy blues with his cold silver optics. She could feel her heart beating wildly in her chest, desperate to calm itself down. But, she had never been in a situation like this before. She didn't know what she was doing with one of the most attractive men she knew. But, why should she like him? Why should she have feelings for him when he was for everything she was against? He made it so that Purebloods would always be on top, when she felt the need to help those beneath her. Of course, she had to act upon such things in secret, but she knew that Lucius would never have stooped so low for someone else. Probably not even her. He probably only preferred her because of her appearance. Most males were like that, weren't they? They didn't care about personalities or thoughts, they just wanted the physical aspect of the relationship. But, then again, what did she know? She knew naught of love and its follies. She was only fifteen, ignorant to the ways of the heart. She imagined Lucius to be the opposite and that thought made her quite uncomfortable.
When she focused back on his face, she was shocked to see a genuine smile flutter across his lips. He looked so much more handsome with that grin, full of an innocence and kindness that he lacked in his daily life. She wished that he would smile in such a way more often for it could perhaps increase her affection, however minimal it was currently. She wanted to like him, but she was no fool. She was going to look at every possibility, every single part of him and decide whether or not she wanted to love him. She knew that she would have to marry him once she graduated, but at what cost? Would she have to live in a loveless marriage or would he give her the chance of knowing him?
At his intense gaze, she blushed brightly, the porcelain cheeks upon her face tinged with a rosy pink. Looking away from him, she swallowed at his reply. Could he already be infatuated with her when in reality, he knew nothing of her true nature? He knew some of her flaws, to be sure, but could he love her for them? After all, her answer to such questions about him would be in the negative. She just wasn't willing to take a leap of faith because she wanted to analyze every piece of information about him that she could find. She wasn't going into this with a head full of air, as others may have seen her. She knew a lot, but many students considered her idiotic because she was younger and a blond, but she was determined to prove them all wrong.
The nearly uncontrollable urge to kiss him came upon her like a storm as she stared into those silver optics. How could she resist? She leaned forward ever so slightly, her face mere millimeters from his, and she moved her eyes to his full mouth. With a clanging heart, she reached a hand to caress his face, wondering what it would be like for them to be connected in the way of a kiss. Icy blue flashed back up to silver, the gaze chilling and full of longing.
She waited for him to make the move.

Lucius' thoughts became muddled. His entire being seemed to be swept away by a light, comfortable, and numbing vapour. His surroundings began to blur, then sharpen readily. Eventually, Narcissa's face came into sharp focus. The ivory smooth skin on her porcelain cheek, the slight fire-lit glint of the otherwise dimly-lit bathroom reflecting off of her ruby, glossy lips... Every detail of her seemed to be accentuated and exaggerated to fit his never fulfilled definition of perfection. He couldn't help but notice her slightly parted lips, revealing a line of glistening white teeth.
His grey eyes flicked up to her icy, intensely focused eyes. Her pupils were dilated in exhilaration, and he could sense his were as well. His heart pounded as he seemed to fall uncontrollably toward her.
Suddenly, he felt her hand gently on his face. The sensation was gentle, tingling with pleasure. He closed his eyes, his eyebrow knit in concentration and enjoyment. He could feel the whispers of her breath reaching his nose and mouth, filling them with the intoxicating scent, and taste. All thoughts escaped him, he was unaware of so much as his own name, or why he was submerged in warm water. The entire fiber of his being was centralized around Narcissa, or rather, the exterior thereof.
Finally, he couldn't stand holding himself at a distance from Narcissa. As she inhaled, he found himself drawn in with the surrounding air. His lips reached a microscopic distance from hers; the distance where lips are felt by the energy they radiate and the sensitivity of those nerves, but have not actually met.
He felt the heat of her lips throb throughout his body. Despite the intense warmth, he almost shivered from the sensation. His eyes were closed, and he could not see her reaction. Had he the ability to form coherent thoughts at that moment, he probably would have wished her to stay beyond anything else. At that moment, however, he was merely transfixed by the alien and novel sensation of the genuine enjoyment of physical intimacy.

Narcissa felt her lady-like tendencies melting away as she continued to gaze into the silver optics of Lucius Malfoy. There was something deep in them that suddenly caught her off guard. She was a tortured human being, stuck between what her family wanted her to be and what she knew was right. For a single moment, she thought his predicament to be similar to her own. But, for some reason, she didn't think it could ever be that easy. Could she find a man in her own nightmares, desperate for the relief that she sought so desperately? She had always pinned Lucius as a man with a cold stone in the place of his heart. Something about being this close to him was throwing her logic out of her mind. She never did that. His scent was overpowering her and she could barely stand it. Without thinking, she lifted a hand and traced his lips with her fingers, moving her porcelain hand down to his chest, all the while, keeping her gaze upon his. She felt as if her sanity was slipping away from her each second she stared into his eyes. She was losing herself, and quickly.
When he closed his eyes, Narcissa had the urge to run away right then. But, she didn't. Her body didn't obey her rationalities. When he opened his lids once more and moved his face closer to hers, Narcissa's breath caught in her throat. Softly, her icy blues zoomed down to his sumptuous lips, the tension between them nearly maddening. With one last glance at his closed eyes, she minimized the space between them and pressed her lips to his before pulling back immediately, as if terrified she had done something wrong. In another split second, she jumped out of the tub and quickly dressed herself. But, as she only had her under garments on, she looked back at Lucius, the attractive blond simply sitting in the water.
Fighting with herself, the girl decided against her better judgment and stepped back into the bubbly warmth, getting as close as possible to him before wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing her body to his. Her breathing became suddenly strained and she slowly moved her lips to his once more, closing the lids over her icy blues. She had never liked being so forward, but she couldn't stand it anymore. As she kissed him, she realized that she had never tasted anything so sweet, so numbing. It was as if he were sucking everything out of her, leaving her to long for more. Would he do that to her? Would he simply push her away and abandon her to her desperation for him? For some reason, she expected that of him, but she supposed only time would tell.
